REALTOR® Care Charity
This years REALTORS® Care Charity of choice was chosen by the The Fredericton Real Estate Board.
2017 Charity of choice is Liberty Lane
LIBERTY LANE is a non-profit organization that offers Second Stage Housing to women and children who have experienced family violence. We are located in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Liberty Lane has two programs:
Second Stage Housing is safe housing for women (and their children) leaving an abusive partner. Liberty Lane has an apartment building with individual units for each woman. They pay affordable rent and utilities during a 12 month lease. Support services are provided at the apartment building as well.
Learn more here.
The Family Violence Prevention Outreach program provides support for women who are, or who have been, in an abusive relationship. Our outreach workers meet with women out in the community. Learn more here.
Auction Item Donations
Similar to last years event, we held a silent auction and did 50/50 draws with all proceeds raised going to the charity of choice.
At last year we had great support from across the province from the Real Estate community and membership. We are again looking to do a similar event that raised $3200 for the Sussex Sharing club at the 2016 AGM event in Saint John.
If you have an item, or service you would like to donate to our auction or know someone that would like to donate to our auction, please contact Eric at email@example.com or Drop your items off to the NBREA office at 22 Durelle St. Unit #1 Fredericton, NB
